Barbara founded and runs the Iskashitaa Refugee Network, a local organization empowering refugees by creating opportunities to use their knowledge and skills to help integrate into the larger Tucson community while gaining life skills that facilitate success in America. She talks about the history of the organization and some of the programs it carries out to support our new neighbors in the Old Pueblo.

Carlos is the founder of Vanishing Tucson, a website dedicated to the collection and preservation of Tucson’s oral history.

The event is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our community and encourages Arizonans to come together, get outside and be physically active. Tim Bentley for the Southern Arizona Road Runners talks about three of the 16 events happening on January 5th.
